Our interventions are research-based. In accordance, we keep our global network and curriculum up to date by the help of research coordinators in each Education Against Tobacco group. In addition, we are performing our own research concerning the Education Against Tobacco project. A Medical Student–Delivered Smoking Prevention Program, Education Against Tobacco, for Secondary Schools in Brazil: Study Protocol for a Randomized Trial

Our team consisting of researchers from the Federal University of Ouro Preto as well as the University of Heidelberg, Gießen, Frankfurt and Homburg published the first fully internationally implemented study of our large Education Against Tobacco network which will find an answer to the question on how our interventions influence the local smoking prevalence of adolescents in Brazilian public schools: https://www.researchprotocols.org/2017/1/e16/

Photoaging smartphone app promoting poster campaign to reduce smoking prevalence in secondary schools: the Smokerface Randomized Trial: design and baseline characteristics

Our team of 28 researchers from 16 institutions from 3 different countries has published the baseline data of the Smokerface randomized trial in BMJ Open (JIF: 2,56). It represents the first app-based and the largest school-based tobacco prevention trial worldwide:
